The sheriff's office is the formal route for a sheriff-created booking record and any releasable jail photograph. The facility can help with a current-custody question or direct an inquiry to the appropriate custodian. Start with the specific office that owns the record sought.
- For a booking record, photograph request, current roster, or old jail entry, use the county record lookup and the sheriff's formal records route.
- For a possible warrant, contact the sheriff, the Justice Court at 601-947-4834, the Circuit Clerk at 601-947-4881, or an attorney. The Most Wanted Fugitives page explains the official options.
- For a Lucedale Police incident or municipal arrest report, call the department at 545 Oak Street, Lucedale, 601-947-3261.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Mississippi Department of Corrections search or its written records process.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or ICE locator; they are separate from county booking systems.
